Good morning all,
hopefully you always happy yeah...
Happy reading
In this time, I will present to you my English task with
the topic is “Selebrity Success Profile and a Reflection to My Life.”
I choose Adam Khoo for my assignment, because what
happened to him like me when I was a kid, as a person who stamped fool by many
people.
Adam Khoo was born with the full
name of Adam Khoo Yean Ann on April 8, 1974. At the age of 26 he became the
youngest bilionare and the most successful motivator in Singapore.
When he was child, Adam Khoo well
known as a huge fans of games and television. In a day, he was could spent
hours in front of the television to watched television and played the play
station. He was also known as a fool child. When the fourth grade of elementary
school, he was expelled from school because of his very bad value. His parents
then trying to find a school that would accept Adam Khoo at that time. Finally,
he was admitted to an elementary school with the lowest rank in Singapore.
After graduating from elementary school, when he was enter to junior high
school he was rejected by six schools because of his value. But finally, he
could be admitted to Ping Yi Secondary School, one of the low-grade schools in there.
In Ping Yi Secondary School, Adam’s
habits did not change. As a result, he earned the bad top ten at school. He
only passed a few subjects. When he was thirteen, this was where the turning
point began. At that time he followed a program from Ernest & Young and met
his mentor Dr. Ernest Wong. He also studied how to use the overall ability of
the brain, and self-motivating techniques that later became the basis for him
in writing many of his best-selling books.
Three months into the program, he
then began practicing his new skills. The first thing he did was write his
goals. He explain that he will graduate with an A grade, then he will went to
Victoria Junior College. Adam Khoo then did action crazy by announcing yhe
purpose that he wrote in front of the class. Then, what happened? He even
laughed at the entire class, including his own teacher. The laughs and scorns
he made as a source of excitement. Adam worked hard. He began to answer
questions in the classroom, also recorded lessons with mind maps that full of
pictures and symbols. Finally, he made it into the ranks of the top twenty best
students at school. In less than a year, he made it into the top ten then
became the top student with an average grade A in each subject. He became the
first student from Ping Yi Secondary School who was eligable to enter Victoria
Junior College.
In high School, he remains that
best. Graduated with an A grade and also graduated as the best graduate. Adam
also succeed to enter into National University of Singapore with Departement of
Business Administration. Every year he was selected as the best student and
also graduated as the best graduate again.
That was the success of Adam in the
academic world. What about the business world? Adam’s achievements in the
business world were marked when he was twenty-six. He already had four business
with a total turnover of twenty million US dollars. This time Adam Khoo became
a founder and master chief Trainer of Adam Khoo Learning Technologies Group,
the largest private educational institution in Asia. The council trains more
than eighty thousand people by year in seven countries in Asia. He is also
ranked in the twenty-fifth richest person in Singapore under the age of forty
years.
What
is the story of Adam Khoo’s life is in part a reflection of my self.
When I was a kindergarten, I could
count how many days I went to school because I prefer to follow my mother teach
at her school and play with her student than going to school. In elementary
school I hate learning because my home work was teached by my sister. However,
did not think he patiently when teach me, when I could not answer the
questions, the tone of his voice will
rise immediately, as a child I immediately cry and did not want to continue
learning.
Everyday I was filled with playing
and watching television. Until my neighbour stamp me as a stupid girl because I
always unable to answer the questions they give especially if about mathematics.
Until the sixth grade even though the national exam I
didn’t change, still lazy and not diligent studying. I never sat in the front
seat, I always sat in the backseat near the wall. Until finally the value of my
exam was very low and made me fail to enter the junior high school favourite in
my region. Whereas my two sisters were accepted at that school, it certainly
made me labeled as the most foolish child at home. However, in junior high school
I changed. Although I not accepted in a good school, but my grades got better
and I also often ranked in the top three. In high school my grades in the first
half were not very good, but my grades went up in the second half of the sixth
semester until I was accepted at gadjah mada university.
That is my English task
about my selebrity success profile, hope you enjoy reading it.
Thank you
